Trestle Numbers Installation

Numbered signs have been purchased and are now being installed along the length of the trail's 47 trestles.  These reflective permanent numbers were purchased with club funding at the request/suggestion of the US Forest Service and Towns of Abingdon and Damascus.  Club volunteers are helping to install them and the process should be completed over the next few weeks.  We hope that by affixing these permanent reference points to the trestles, it will aid emergency responders and trail users by offering another system of reference.  Mileage markers are already in place along the length of the trail, the result of an Eagle Scout project several years ago.
